Jo (Josette Simon) is plucked from her poverty-stricken Jamaican village by the lure of big money and guaranteed employment in Canada [...] Forced to leave her son and family behind, Jo finds herself feeling increasingly lonely and frustrated as she toils away for a haughty nouveau riche couple in Toronto.
