« A dramatic film interpretation of Margaret Atwood's poems. The script, written by Margaret Atwood and Marie Waisberg, consists of selections from The Journals of Susanna Moodie tracing Susanna's life in Canada. In addition to acquainting audiences with Miss Atwood's poetry and stimulating those who are familiar with it, the film portrays Canadian pioneer life in the nineteenth century and provides insights into the derivation of our attitudes towards Canada and our environment. »
