"It was a challenge to make [Before Tomorrow]. It's in a different culture. I was a single mother with two children under the age of 12. I was shooting in four extended periods, so I had to travel a lot. Madeline [Ivalu] has 11 children. Her husband is supportive, but still, she's a grandmother and a mother. And we were filming in the Arctic, which is not an easy thing to do. We had to establish a circle of help."
