Film Description:
"Indigo is a stop motion animation film about a confined woman who is liberated by Grandmother Spider while their opaque memories are projected in the background, in an effort to restore her spirit as her life nears the end. This work explores themes of imagination and the inner child using hand-crafted, stop-motion figures. They come to life in this dream-like world inspired by Indigenous stories. A team of collaborators sculpted the work to reflect Indigenous principles of the medicine wheel, and stories of Grandmother Spider are embedded with the collaborators' personal experience. These teachings are reflected throughout the film, both within the worlds created and Indigo's journey within them."
