Quote about Marche-dans-la-forêt

"The film [Marche-dans-la-forêt] highlights the Aboriginal connection to nature and animals, but this familiar topic is made humorous by the funny noises the animals make, such as loud crunching as a squirrel eats a nut. The film seems to have an environmental message to it, as the last shot of the magical lake reveals discarded plastic bags hanging from the tree branches. Walk-in-the-Forest has a goofy but mystical feel to it; random pictorial inserts disrupt the narrative linearity and the end leaves the viewer guessing at its meaning."
