"Change of Heart is a compassionate drama about the disintegration of a loveless marriage. Edna and Bob have spent all their married life working on their farm. After thirty years, no longer willing to tolerate Bob's hostility and bullying, Edna packs her bags. Her decision to leave her husband and build a new life throws the family into an uproar and dramatically brings into focus the issue of a farm wife's right to a share of the family gains, and the problems associated with mid-life divorce and older women's re-entry into the workforce."
