Fire and Fury -- Film Description:
"A fire started on the night of April 10, 1734. By the early hours of the morning, half of Montreal had been destroyed including the hospital, the convent and the houses of many of city's wealthy elite. Marie-Josèphe-Angélique, a young Black slave, was accused of setting the fire despite the lack of evidence against her and sentenced to death by hanging. Was Angélique really guilty as charged? What would have been her motives? [Fire and Fury] looks at the story of Angélique through the eyes of 3 people who knew her. Each sheds a very different light on the woman and the days leading up to the fire. Based on a true historical event."
