Notable figures such as Arthur Penn, Bertrand Tavernier, Alain Tanner, Agnieszka Holland, Marin Karmitz, Denys Arcand, Margarethe von Trotta, Andrzej Wajda and Milos Forman speak out with passion and humour, acceptance, indignation, discouragement and hope.
