Indian Posse -- Film Description:
"The filmmakers follow three Aboriginal families through the struggles of everyday life in Winnipeg's North End. Fourteen-year-old Paul Sinclair teeters between aspirations to the culinary arts and full-blown gang membership; 12-year-old Claire Kelly is beaten up by a girls' gang and wants to retaliate; and a 19-year-old father, Trevor Sinclair, tries through his work with the Native Alliance to move beyond his teenage jail terms while awaiting trial on charges of robbery. The families tell their stories and live through crises with candour and courage. Filmmakers Cizek and Bainbridge state: 'We did not go to the North End to investigate crimes and to uncover secret gang rituals. We went to understand how gangs have become an everyday part of the neighbourhood.'"
