Film Description:
"The Post is a short dramatic narrative following the lives of two families, defending the land they are living on. The story starts in 1824 with a Scottish settler coming to Canada to run the Hudson Bay Post, a store for traders and travelers to sell and buy furs and commodities. The family is dealing with their first year in Canada. The story then intertwines with an Ojibway man and daughter living on the land, defending their people's land and rights. They are First Nations people of Canada, standing off to protect their land rights. The story parallels the relationship of family, land and the one band that all people have, Mother Earth."
