Film Description: "A film about a generation preoccupied by a history in which it played no part. Seen through the eyes of Irene Lilienheim Angelico, a child of concentration camp survivors, the film explores the impact of the Holocaust on a generation of Jews and Germans born after the war. Now in their twenties and thirties, many children of survivors feel deeply affected by their parents' ordeal, just as their German contemporaries live with the burden of confusion and guilt about the crimes of their parents." -- World Film Festival / Festival des films du monde (source) |
