Film Description: "Paternity is a 3 channel installation with furniture and photography curtains. Paternity makes use of the landscapes of New York, memories recalled in a five day intensive studio shoot, gestures and text. It places these in juxtaposition in a humorous, touching and critical inquiry about fathers and daughters, the passing on of language and narrative, and the problem of nostalgia. The history of an individual, Jerome D. Diamond, stands against the collective struggles of radical union, Jewish and other groups" -- V tape (source) |
