Film Description: "This short doc honours the life of Audrey Anderson, while revealing the injustices of a flawed judicial system. For forty-seven years, Audrey's family wondered about the circumstances of her death and the rigour of the investigation by Ontario Provincial Police and Chief Coroner—who had deemed that her death in 1972 was 'accidental'. With the help of the Family Information Liaison Unit, Audrey's family managed to have the investigation reopened and the cause of Audrey's death reclassified to 'undetermined'. Set in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, this important film is an expression of compassion and accountability in a nation-wide crisis, with many key voices working together to obtain the truth and respond appropriately. This film is dedicated to Audrey Anderson, and to all families with murdered and missing loved ones." -- Yukon Film Society (source) |
