Goldilocks tahnon Ohkwari --
Film Description:
"A comedic adaptation of the children's classic, this version is more adult and entirely in the Mohawk language. With the theme of colonization at the core, this film has Goldilocks visiting the home of the bears, who have become more like humans than Goldilocks' own family. When Goldilocks is discovered at their home, the bears realize it is time to return to their old ways. They abandon their pizza and beer, and their living-large lifestyle to return to the woods with all the rest of the bears, who long ago returned to the woods, abandoning their human lifestyles. The film touches on the concept of returning to old ways, as it was written in the Mohawk language, and performed by students of the Onkwawenna Kentyohkwa immersion school. The central value of the school is revitalizing the language, and thus returning to the old ways of thinking and being in the world."
