Le dep --
Film Description:
"It's winter in an Aboriginal village in Quebec. Lydia, the daughter of the owner of a roadside store, has to work the night shift. She has to close the store and get the envelopes ready for welfare recipients to pick up the next day. It's a night like any other until a masked, armed, drug-addled man enters the store—a man that Lydia recognizes right away. The first feature by young Mohawk director Sonia Bonspille Boileau, Le dep is an interior drama with plenty of suspense, deftly exploring the socio-economic issues plaguing Aboriginal communities. The film also reveals the impressive talent of Eve Ringuette, a young woman whose admirable poise quietly pushes victimhood aside."
