Your Move -- Film Description:
"Your Move is about participation in all kinds of sports by women of all ages. Myths, taboos, conventions of dress, and 'proper' behaviour have for centuries prevented women from enjoying recreational sport. Accepting society's assumption that physical activity was 'unfeminine,' women remained the eternal spectators. Women and attitudes are changing, but old myths die hard. When this film was made in l973, forty-seven percent of Canadian women still ranked in the 'low-to-fair' fitness category. The film shows women taking part in a variety of physical activities, competitive and non-competitive, and discussing the benefits for themselves."
